Begin by being honest with your own Self.
Is your life complete? Do you live with abandonment or suppression? Do you have courage to define your Self no matter the consequence? Do you have strength to bleed for your heart’s choice? Answer these questions and you open the door to a life worth living.
When you peel away the upper layers of the Self, you find that at a deeper level, people suffer in the same way in every Country and every community. Depending upon the culture only the causative elements differ. Expectations of every society are different and so values and judgments are different. But the Self everywhere is suppressed and individual freedom missing. Cultures have judged each other to feel a false sense of superiority and completeness all through time. People who live and die in a small local world exist all their life in such an illusion. So remember that only the nature of suppression is different regardless where you live. Freedom to live requires courage to face and accept the suppression of your existing Reality, and willingness to pay the price for defining and living for your Self.The Self has been suppressed and conditioned to feel freedom in bondage, and is not able to live from its completeness. The Self with constrained expression is forced to seek false freedom and happiness through perverted expression. When you are born, you take a life to live, to live fully and freely. But when you enter the world, the world starts conditioning and choking the True Self. If, at any stage, you experience a recall, a remembrance of the Original Urge and wish to define your Self from your own heart and live to evolve and experience it, you will know how little freedom you have. This is seen as against the current, the current of social momentum and the current of structure of other people around you. That is why we have dissidents, rebels and sinners, who can bear the turmoil no more and break through. Unfortunately they are without a true direction. Those who are too proper and continue to build up suppression mentally break down. Most people don’t live, and the unfortunate part is they don’t allow others to live. If someone is making an attempt to become free and experience life deeper, others will create resistance. So where is freedom? If you take that freedom forcefully, people dislike you and start leaving you. Here, the loneliness aspect comes in and pulls you back. So it is very complicated. To find freedom requires great clarity and courage.For the Self to become complete, for the structures to become healthy you must find your heart. There is no bypass. The heart which is the soul can be found neither through false material pursuits, requiring suppression to conform and be rewarded, nor in suppressive Spiritual practices giving a false sense of holiness. On traditional paths seekers have struggled for lifetimes, suppressing life with misunderstood holiness. The heart which is the center of being must be found in life, by living simply from its urges, while loving and trusting Creation. Courage is essential to live from the heart. You have to find courage to begin, for courage begets courage. Courage is required to enter the search for the heart. So, where do you find it? To find it upfront, Creation has to be trusted. If trust is missing, no healing is possible. Then wait for a break down, which will automatically bring acceptance.
The Truth that you experience through life will sink in deep, as against a Truth that was preached to you, or you read from books. There will be no doubt left. Such a Truth will revive clarity and courage. It takes courage to truly live life, the courage to be honest, the courage to face your reality and your own urges. This deshackles the heart. This is true healing. Don’t attempt to build a tall building when the foundation is not there yet. The earlier you come to know this is lacking, the good work can begin. Deal with the heart first, so that the heart finds its courage. That is what it is to become your SELF. Don’t stop loving a thing because of a value or a morality because something superior is waiting. There is nothing superior waiting. There is nothing superior to what your heart loves. Creation knows best what you need to experience. When your heart loves, you feel. A felt Reality is real, not conjure of the mind. When you feel, you express from a place that is palpable. It is factual. It is tangible to others. When you express your pain or your joy, people will feel it too. This is how healing begins. And it heals others too. It is a very good place to begin.
Meditation for even just five minutes a day will help you. It will root and center you in Reality. Old understandings have to be erased and replaced. The whole system has to be re-magnetized. It is like erasing old memory from a recording device and recording a new healthy program. It is like a virus has gotten into a computer. You have to clean out the hard drive and reload the software. The human system is also like that. There are many levels of your being that have to be purified. Each of you has to live toward getting your sap from the single fountainhead of Creation. As you do, fear will disappear and a new meaning will come. You will have an extra consciousness of what this physical reality stands upon. So much content and vitality will enter your system. This is awakening.
Seeking is a process full of joy.
You become a good player of a game if you love the game more than winning. If you cannot find Joy at the stage of Seeking, if you don’t enjoy it totally, it won’t work. You don’t have to surrender with a heavy heart. Surrender is the most natural thing that happens when you love something.
Begin from loving yourself. This is the best start point. If you cannot love your Self you can never love the Supreme Being.
Life is not possible without at least one love. Every human being loves something. You’ll be disinterested in life if you can’t feel what you love. Some people love money, some love the subjects they study, players love the sport they play. Be clear about your love and you will draw energy from Creation to materialize and experience your desire. People who are unclear about their love are forced to gather energy from here and there; things like relationships and food. Energy directly from the Source is not dependent upon anything else. If you are very clear about what you love, the grace of Creation will yield a tremendous flow. If you are a little clear, you will only receive a trickle. The ultimate flow of energy is when you love the very Source, the Supreme Being. Floodgates open and everything starts moving in your direction. Love is the ultimate power. It draws what you seek and makes every moment more contented. Contentment gives silence. When the mind becomes silent, only then can Truth be felt and awakened to.
There are reasons why we should seek Truth.
We want fear and doubt to end
We want clarity and understanding
We want certainty in life
We want lasting happiness
Seeking Truth will connect us with the Supreme reality which is the True source. Knowing truth will free wisdom. Wisdom will then arise like sap in a tree because our roots are in reality.
How to Seek Truth: Do not lose the purpose of this life. You have been given a certain script by Creation. You came here for a purpose.To feel the purpose, go inward, find your heart. What is a circle without a center? Know the center first. The heart is the center, so come in first, come into yourself, turn your eyes inward. When the eyes turn inward, it becomes contemplation.
Where to Seek Truth: Our minds have drifted too far from our heart. The mind, by nature, is fearful and it’s faculty of understanding is analysis, which is divisive. It is the heart which will lead us to Truth. The heart will answer who we are, why we are here and what is our purpose.
Review your life and see if happiness and clarity are increasing and fear and doubt are lessening. If it is, you are in a healthy process. If not, your process is not answering your Self purpose. In that case, transform your process into a coherent form to get results by working with a teacher or guide who has experienced the path completely.
I remember once when I was with my Master a new student came.
He said, “I have heard about you. You are a very great Teacher. I have traveled a long distance.”
In those days people had to walk a lot and there were not many roads. He was in a forest at that time. He had traveled a long distance to come to this Teacher.
He said, “I have heard about you. So many people have praised you, so I have come. Can you give me the assurance I will find my Truth?”
My Master said, “I cannot. How can I? And how do you know that I am a Master? Even that assurance I cannot give you. Feel your heart. Accept studentship if you want. You might reach, you might not reach. This danger will be there.”
So what was the Teacher teaching him in that moment? Acceptance. Unconditional acceptance. People sometimes travel long distances even today. They first read about a Teacher; that this teacher is enlightened, and a very good teacher, but these are concepts. What can you see in anyone until you experience reality by being with someone over a long period of time? And then how do you know if things are not happening whether you are blocking it, or that the teacher is not good? How would you know? The spiritual process begins upfront from acceptance. This word should always be uppermost in your mind. There is no surety of anything. If you want surety, certainty, remain in bondage. A prison is very certain.
The key is to relate with everything through Love. Even when I was in R & D and working in fields like robotics; when I was handling anything, I would not understand anything without going into complete oneness with it. This is integrating with Creation and this is flowing toward the Ultimate Reality. This itself is spirituality; this is the spirituality of Oneness. It is not understanding or reasoning anything or reading books or trying to accept what you do not understand. Begin through the process of living. The best way toward your reality is living in a gradually opening up reality. So I always explain it this way: your mind should become open. An open mind is like a vessel. It can receive. Creation also constantly pours into it. All our knowledge, you see all the scientists, you see Einstein, you see Newton, you see anyone, all inventions, even relativity, came to Einstein through intuition. He didn’t experiment in any lab. They were aware of this, they became aware of this because their questions led them that far. They related to life that deeply. You can try it in anything in your life. Relate through Love, relate through openness, there is no conflict between science and what I’m talking about. You have to integrate everything, all the knowledge you have. Every resource you have. We are going toward completeness.
Experience of the Supreme Being is impossible without total surrender. Surrender is impossible without total Faith. The Self will continue to seek knowledge as long as doubt persists. The Self has become trapped in a maze. Knowledge, first expands the mind then confuses it. The world has entered the stage of confusion and disorder, knowledge has become excessive and a barrier to Reality.
The word purpose is very important. Purpose. There is no more important word in Creation. This word gives us our core question: Who am I? This should remain the core question until you answer it for yourself. No one else can answer it for you. This answer cannot be intellectual. It cannot be read from a book. This can’t even be answered for you by a Master. You have to experience the answer to this question. This question is so significant because it is the question which began Creation. This is the question which arose in the Divine mind. It only became an individual question when it split. Each one of us is carrying this question. This question becomes active when you become a seeker. A True seeker. Why do I use the objective True? True seeker means when seeking the answer to this question becomes the sole purpose of your life.
